The University of Bath, Department of Pharmacy and Sirius Analytical invite you to attend the 3rd Annual Dissolution Symposium on June 3-4 2013, “Unique insights into in-vitro dissolution with UV surface dissolution imaging”.
Understanding dissolution is an essential requirement during the pre-formulation stages of drug development. The inclusion of UV imaging on the Sirius SDI brings a new perspective to the dissolution behaviour of drug substances and provides an understanding of early occurrences of the dissolution process otherwise missed when using traditional dissolution testing methods.
Presentations from both academia and industry will focus on the benefits of UV imaging for flow through dissolution, and highlight the numerous applications the Sirius SDI is currently being utilized for. The banquet dinner will included a keynote address by Dr. Stephen Wren, Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca, who will provide an overview of different dissolution technologies and innovative imaging techniques to help understand in-vitro product performance. This will be an ideal opportunity for delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences, and to show-case their research on surface dissolution imaging.
