  • Willard W. Harrison, University of Florida – The Art of Communication in the Sciences
  • David E. Clemmer, Indiana University – Ion Mobility in Mass Spectrometry
  • Jerald L. Schnoor – University of Iowa – Biofuels and Global Climate Change

The Welcome Reception in the exhibit hall will follow. Monday to Thursday will be full program days of concurrent oral sessions, poster sessions, and workshops. Poster sessions are scheduled before and after the lunch break, 10.30am to 2.30pm, to allow four hours of viewing time for posters and exhibits.

The oral sessions throughout the event will focus on a wide variety of subjects including:

  • Developments in Ion Mobility Instrumentation and Theory
  • Characterising Protein-Protein Interactions
  • Mass Spectrometry and Clinical Applications
  • Biomarker Discovery – Proteins
  • Novel Developments in Mass Spectrometry Instrumentation: Ion Sources
  • Mass Spectrometry in Alternative Energy Fields
  • Fundamental Aspects of Ion/Electron and Ion/Ion Interactions

Workshops will also be held between 2-4 June. They will be organised on topics of special interest with a focus on new technology. There is no additional charge for workshops, they are open to all as a forum for discussion. Feature workshops include:

  • The Clinical Mass Spectrometry Space – Who’s Driving?
