Cherwell Laboratories, specialists in products for process validation and environmental monitoring, have confirmed their continued support for the education and training of personnel engaged in the aseptic production of medicines.

Cherwell will be exhibiting a selection of their comprehensive cleanroom microbiology product range at the Aseptic Preparation and Dispensing of Medicines (APDM) Training Course to be held at Leeds Trinity University.

Aseptic manufacturing training supported by Cherwell LaboratoriesStarting on 4th July 2016, this 4-day residential course is organised by the NHS, Technical Specialists Education and Training (TSET) Group and the University of Leeds.  The course is designed to meet the needs of pharmacy staff who work in licensed and unlicensed aseptic units.  It covers the principles and practice of asepsis and provides an update on knowledge of standards, practices and quality assurance arrangements relating to the aseptic preparation and dispensing of medicines.

Representatives from Cherwell Laboratories will be on hand during days 2 and 3 to discuss how their products can help provide the ideal solution for both active and passive environmental monitoring and meeting standard methods for process validation. Cherwell’s exhibition stand will present some of the quality tools and materials they offer for these critical applications. These include the Redipor® prepared media range, which includes agar plates, bottled media, broth bags, vials and ampoules; plus SAS microbial air samplers for active environmental monitoring.

Andrew Ramage, Microbiology Product Specialist, Cherwell Laboratories, who will be attending the events and available to advise on applications and associated products, commented, “Supporting and attending this well respected course allows us to maintain our levels of expertise, ensuring we can continue to offer up-to-date products, services and advice to those involved in the aseptic processing of medicines.”
