FPS has provided High containment Integrated system for Pharmaceutical application in India

The pharmaceutical industry in India is one of the fastest growing sectors of the emerging country. 70 percent of all generics are produced on the sub-continent.

Between 2011 and 2016 alone, the turnover generated by the pharmaceutical industry will more than double, from USD 14 billion to about USD 34 billion, according to the German Statistics Office. Reasons enough for L.B. Bohle to keep a firm eye on this growth market and to assess the market opportunities for its own high tech machines. With the sale and commissioning of a BFC 600 Film Coater, the specialists for solids production now have established an important reference for this future market.

Process time reduced by 40 hours

In the second half of 2015, the L.B. Bohle service team successfully installed the BFC 600 Film Coater at the Indian Cadila Healthcare Group. Until the purchase of the Bohle Coater, Cadila Healthcare used different Indian coaters with very long process times. With the BFC 600, the process time could be reduced by 40 hours for a batch size of 540 kg. Per batch, the company thus saves up to EUR 8,000. “Less time and reduced process costs are good arguments to succeed with other customers in India as well”, Sales Manager Tim Remmert explains. Around 400 kilometres further north In addition to the sales and production success, L.B. Bohle has set another important milestone for expansion in India: Bohle India has moved to a new location. The relocation from the long-standing presence in Goa on the Western Coast to the metropolis of Mumbai around 400 kilometres further north has been completed. L.B. Bohle expects numerous benefits from its presence in this region with more than 18 million inhabitants.
