Biogen UK has been named as one of the UK’s best workplaces in the ‘Great Place to Work®’ annual Best Workplaces list.
The awards recognise the top 100 best workplaces in the UK, with Biogen UK ranking as the highest pharmaceutical company in the Medium Category (organisations with 50 – 499 employees). This is the second time Biogen UK has received this honour which recognises organisations with high levels of trust and engagement, and a workplace culture that attracts and retains talent, and helps drive business success. Biogen UK submitted entries for the 2011 and 2015 lists and has been successful both times.
The methodology behind the list comprises both an employee survey and an audit into the company’s management and HR practices. To be successful, participating organisations must achieve a minimum high score in the employee survey which measures the levels of trust and engagement in Biogen. The award also recognises the strength of leadership and the range of innovative, creative and effective HR policies that create the workplace culture.

This is a truly fantastic accolade for the UK site and is a clear demonstration that Biogen fosters a committed and dedicated workforce that works openly and collaboratively to drive excellence in all that we do. I want to thank everyone that has helped us achieve this recognition.”
Terry O’Regan, VP, MD Biogen UK and Ireland added, “Creating the right culture and environment where people feel empowered to uniquely contribute to the vision of improving the lives of MS patients is of paramount importance. This award is confirmation that we are on the right track and reminds us not to be complacent in this area, but to continue the journey of ensuring we remain a ‘great place to work’.”
Organisations named on the Best Workplace list see many benefits that include better financial performance, lower employee turnover, higher levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty, more innovative and creative thinking, higher productivity and enhanced public perception.
